Schützenfest 2018 Adelaide’s famous German Shooting Festival is back! On January 19th & 20th 2018 head to the The Brauhaus at The German Club to be immersed in traditional German Culture. It will feature traditional German fare including our famous Schnitzel, Pretzels & Currywurst. Fully stocked bars with all imported German beer, wine & Schnapps. German entertainment including the Bund der Bayern and Deutscher Volkstanzkreis dancers, the Adelaide German Band & the Accordion Group plus a special floor show from the Capricorn & Bund der Bayern dancers. The Schützenfest 2018 King, Queen and Open Shooting Competition will be fought out on the top floor in our Shooting Range with the help of the German Shooting Group. Each night will include performances from fantastic bands to party the night away! As a special treat Friday night will feature the legendary Black Sorrows, renowned for their high-energy live shows, musicianship and infectious raw rootsy rhythms. Friday 19th Tickets - $40 + BF at Ticketek or at the door Doors - 4.00pm Shooting range open - 5.00pm New Romantics - 8.30pm The Black Sorrows - 10.30pm Finish – approx. 1.00am Saturday 20th Tickets - $20 + BF at Ticketek or at the door Doors & Shooting range open - 12.00pm Registration open for Arm Wrestling competition - 12.30pm Shooting presentation - 7:30pm Unchained- The Music of Classic Van Halen – 8.30pm The Red Skull- G n' R Live at the Ritz - 10.30pm Finish – approx. - 1.00am As a new addition to Schützenfest this year, in collaboration with S. A. Armwrestling Association - SAAA, there will be an Arm Wrestling Competition. It will run on Saturday afternoon only, with the heats starting at 3.00pm and the finals get under way at 5.00pm. To be involved you will need to register at 12.30pm & attend the training and demo session. Participants must not be under the influence of alcohol, so save the drinking until later!
