THE POGUES Rum, Sodomy & The Lash 40th Anniversary
About This Event
For the first time in 14 years, The Pogues return to Australia to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their
seminal 1985 album Rum, Sodomy & the Lash — performing it in full at Hindley St Music Hall, Adelaide
on Friday 27 March 2026.
This special tour features original members James Fearnley, Jem Finer, and Spider Stacy, alongside an
all-star lineup of musicians and guest vocalists including Daragh Lynch, Iona Zajac, and John Francis
Flynn. Together, they’ll perform the entire Rum, Sodomy & the Lash album, plus B-sides, extended tracks,
and a selection of beloved Pogues classics.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest folk-punk albums of all time, Rum, Sodomy & the Lash features
the anthemic Dirty Old Town, A Pair of Brown Eyes, and A Rainy Night in Soho. Ranked among Rolling
Stone’s “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”, its influence continues to echo across generations.
This 2026 tour marks a major milestone for fans — a rare chance to celebrate The Pogues’ extraordinary
legacy live on stage.
