In this must-do walking tour of Victor Harbor, you will see and hear about the history of Victor including early settler life, the development of the port, the unique heritage transportation that still runs today, and how Victor Harbor grew into the popular tourist town we now enjoy. Your local guide will walk you through the old parts of town and highlight the wonderful heritage-listed buildings. While passing through, you will hear about the important historical events of the town and stories of key characters that influenced the development of Victor Harbor. We will also hear stories of local residents and see and hear about the local wildlife.

  1. We start at the Causeway and cover the historical meeting of Captains Flinders and Baudin. We will also stroll along the Granite Island Causeway at Victor Harbor for stunning views of Encounter Bay, and the offshore Islands, and maybe we will spot a bottlenose dolphin or seal! - 0.2 hrs
  2. We stop and talk about early European settlers who left a legacy influencing the development of Victor Harbor - 0.2 hrs
