Iranian-Australian vocalist Tara Tiba unveils her new show OMID (Hope) in the Banquet Room at Adelaide Festival Centre on Sunday 14 June 2026 — a luminous, border-crossing concert of Persian song, jazz and global improvisation.
Tara Tiba returns to the Cabaret Festival with OMID — the Farsi word for hope — an immersive new concert that weaves Persian classical music with jazz, flamenco and the sounds of the Silk Road.
Performing in the intimate Banquet Room at Adelaide Festival Centre on Sunday 14 June 2026, Tara is joined by an ensemble of virtuoso musicians for a set drawn from her acclaimed albums A Desert of Longing, A Chaotic Melody and brand-new original compositions written in response to the voices of Iranian women and the global call for freedom.
Expect aching ballads, foot-stomping grooves and moments of pure transcendence as Tara's soaring vocals carry audiences from Tehran to Andalusia and home again. A WAMI Award-winning artist and one of Australia's most distinctive cross-cultural voices, she turns hope into something you can feel in the room.
